what a gorgeous image and effect! Nicely done here and what a mood...it's sinister, creepy, and yet...delicate and calm. I'm really a fan! I wish I had a polaroid camera. They seem like so much fun to play with

Yes, definitely
when you start messing around with polaroids it's really difficult to go back to digital
Thanks a lot anyway

Yeah thanks
actually this is more like a mix of different factors
expired film, polaroid magic and a some not so secret analog tricks

I know you say its a polaroid, but did you re-develop it as a cyanotype? I have just been doing cyanotypes in college all day, so maybe its just me, but it looks very like one.

Yes actually i know it really looks like a cyanotype; i love them so i was trying to find a way to reproduce the effect with polaroid
This is how i made it:
i've taken a previously made 664 B/w polaroid, i've placed it under my abat-jour (which has a very strong yellow light) then i used my prinz copy-it device (a device that allows you to make copies on polaroid of other poalroid or any paper thning - this is not an electronic device, it's just a magnifier glass placed in a sort of very simple microscope-like iron structure) to reshoot the b/w picture on color 669 film.
Then i've pointed my polaroid with the prinz device still on to the sky and made another exposure.
So that's why it looks so blue, the effect of the double exposure with the sky through the magnifier lens give all that halo
Hope it's clear, it's easy to do but difficult to explain

Lol, I knew straight from the DD page that this was suggested by Zerocomplex... I think I'm becoming addicted to his DD's and your work is another great example of a piece that goes straight away to my favs, because it's so delicate yet powerful
