A shelf is meant to show its contents, it needs to lift up the interests of the owner while still being unique itself.I built this shelf specifically for my dvd collection. The maple leaf on the top represents the years that i spent in Canada.

It is in fact ... simple, but beautiful. I like it's colour and shape.
The one "Problem" I see is, that your shelf looks kinda old thru it's color and the wood, but your DVDs... there is a contrast which could be a little hard
