really didnt want to go retro for this piece, i hope that explains the placement of the object. I wanted to direct the viewing across the black background until it reaches the main objects (hand and candle).
I wanted to emphasise the black background against the main objects.
The light from the candle represent the various holds that we all have on our lives. Things such as dreams, responsibilities, goals, family, loved ones and the many things that we would do die for to attain them.
The hand represents the efforts, sacrifices, hopes that we put in to protect the lights from "dying".
The black background symbolise the unknown, fear, uncertainty that may come from different directions in the surroundings.
Question: what would we do to protect our "lights" from dying out..?
I hope you will enjoy this humble piece of mine.. as much as i did while taking the macro shot of her..

ahh i love the colors.. i can just feel the warmness of the fire against my hands (you know, like when you see a bone popping out of skin, it makes you hurt...like that.. ) Very well done, and definatly expressive.
