Description It's finally done! This took me waaay too long and here's why...
TLDR: SFM is very dumb and I'm a procrastinator.
One of the big issues in this video is obviously certain body parts clipping through clothes. I struggled with this issue for so long and did just about everything in my power to stop it, and it just wouldn't stop. Usually all you need to do to prevent jiggle bones from jiggling is bake them, but for whatever reason, that just didn't work. I tried manually animating them, but they still bounced around like crazy. Eventually I just gave up, sorry.
Lip syncing was another issue. Usually I like to think I'm pretty good at lip syncing, and I wasn't really having any issues with it, it just took me forever because I really didn't want to do it, haha.
Rendering was a whole ordeal as well, as I mentioned in my last post. Basically, I finished the animation last night and exported it through SFM as a movie. That took about an hour and a half, which is fairly normal. So I went to bed so it could render while I got some much-needed sleep. I got up the next day and tried opening the video, only to be greeted with an error message. I uploaded the video to YouTube because I thought maybe it was just my computer being weird and it would work once uploaded. So that took about an hour and after viewing the video, it was very obvious that it was completely corrupted. So my next course of action was to export as an image sequence. For those who don't know, that means that instead of rendering one big video file, SFM renders every single frame as a png. So once that was done (another hour and a half) I brought all 1,831 frames into Blender and finally exported it as a video.
Honestly, the video didn't come out perfect and I still see new flaws every time I watch it, but I think it still turned out alright. Sure, the walking animations suck, the lighting is a little drab, and the jiggles are off the charts, but I'm still proud of it and I really hope you'll all enjoy it. Thank you all again for being so patient. I'll be going back to sequences for now, but I'll keep working on new animations.
