Located on the very south of the Goradh continent, Dregjarg is a very cold country with mostly tundra environment. Around 70% of the country is placed on islands. This country is famous for being home for one of the biggest dragon populations and being the only one inhabited place where you can meet sea dragons. The population is highly religious and not optimistic for newcomers. There is no modern technology.

Village: Svarskoh

Svarskoh is a small village located on one of the small islands placed near the mainland. The main mode of transportation is boats. The dense forest around the village provides people with wood and a friendly village located on a neighboring island is the main source of food. Inhabitants mostly work as hunters, fishermen or lumbermen, having no space for farms.

Job: Ranger

Rox chose this job to be separated from his village for as long as possible. He is a specific type of ranger, his main task is to patrol surrounding islands in case someone attacks his village or any natural disaster happen. He spends most of the day swimming on a boat (usually sleeping) but he also patrols directly on islands from time to time. He got a sword to defend himself if it's needed but he cannot use it. In case of disaster, e.g. forest fire or dragon attack, he should be one of the first to help but he avoids such a responsibility.

The stalion prefers to stay alone at home rather than spending his time with friends or family. He doesn't feel comfortable around people.

Rox definitely is not a fan of hard work or any work at all. Everything makes him tired immediately, even the easiest tasks. However, making him do something is not hard at all. He is too slothful to try to fight people back or try to change anything that was stated. For example, when having an opportunity to get a day off only by talking to someone for a second, he would let it go as it's "too hard" for him.

His work can expose him to danger and danger is one of the things Rox is definitely not used to. He gets pretty scared of everything, animals, bulky guys, weather, etc. His usual reaction is to flee as quickly as possible and he can get a small "panic mode" activated.

Backstory/Info:

The red foal was born in a small village in the middle of the forest. Due to the tradition, his mother has chosen him a name not long after she conceived. Usually, people in the village choose gender-neutral names, as nobody knows if the child will be a foal or a filly, but his mother being convinced about the sex of her future newborn, choose a more unique name.

Rox, officially Roxanne, often got bullied because of his full name. This was not a big problem as children in the village quickly got used to it and started to treat it normally although Rox started to hate his name.

His childhood was not spectacular or full of excitement. He was attending a local school run by priests. He has never discovered any passion in his life or got any hobby. The social life was not the greatest thing form him either as he quickly was annoyed by anyone telling his name. He preferred to stay alone and sleep all day.

After graduation, his father helped him find a suitable job. The father truly believed his son had a lot of potential and showed him various options. Rox didn't really want to do anything so he has been delaying his choice for quite a long time but when his parents began to insist, he chose, the easiest in his opinion, work: a patrol ranger. In the beginning, Rox thought it would be a bothersome job, especially after getting showed the list of his duties, inter alia, protecting the village in case of crisis. He has always been avoiding too many responsibilities and getting such important ones didn't sound great.

The first day of work has changed his perspective. He received a full outfit with a sword and a personal, small boat with a paddle. He got orders to swim from island to island and observe everything. In case there was something happening he was supposed to act. After that talk, he has been left alone. For first few hours he has been trying his best but then he realized one thing, nobody was observing him anyway, he was alone in the wild... and if there was nobody around, why would he work so hard?

Rox began his passion for sleeping on duty, the boat was big enough to hide him completely. He sure was doing his job from time to time when he was too bored but he has been spending most of his time in his boat. There were times when he met some newcomers but all he had to do was ask them what they want and that's all, nothing too hard. He was just hoping nothing dangerous happens. In case of dragon attack or invasion, he would be useless and could do nothing other than flee.

The red stallion doesn't really have any plans for the future. He tries to stay away from the village for as long as possible but he often misses the warmth of the home. He lives alone, in a small house slightly away from the center of the village.
