Artist Statement:
It’s been awhile since I illustrated anything related to the macabre, and it feels damn good. Here we see two shoggoths and an eldritch abomination flanking two ill-prepared travelers who are about to flee. Fighting these things is the last thing anyone want to do. Well, fighting any cosmic horror in general. These terrified men are based off characters that a friend and I rolled on a d20 Call of Cthulhu set in the mid-1920’s. Unfortunately, the campaign was left incomplete so I am forced to wonder how long will my esoteric detective survive in the shadows of Innsmouth before he loses his sanity or met a horrific death. I think Cthulhu mythos will remain as my concentration until I gain a commission or two. Keep an eye in those dark corners of the Earth, for my esoteric detective will return hauling ass.
