Description
Since their catastrophic defeat after attempted invasion of Hiigara, remnants of independent Vaygr Reaches have learned a hard lesson.

Their craft, although providing good performance at its designated roles, has proved to be far too specialised and inflexible when compared to the similar craft of their opponents, Taiidani and Hiigarans in particular.

Faced with such devastating real world results, Vaygr engineers, true to their nature, decided to copy from several of already existing concepts serving across the galaxy.

Utilising the lengthened hull of the standard laser corvette, Vaygr 'techs managed to increase armament loadout while keeping same relative speed and maneuverability.

New Vaygr Assault Corvette is designed to face down multiple opponents of different classes and size. Assault Corvette features three omni-directional multiple-barrel ballistic coil-guns, two of which are placed on flank-mounted retractable turrets and a third is based on fully articulated dorsal turret.

Additional three pulse laser cannons are also included, giving this ship capacity to attack enemy corvettes and frigates with reasonable degree of success. Two of the pulse laser cannons are nested in flanked retractable turrets, situated in tandem to their ballistic cousins. A third laser cannon is mounted in ventral semi-retractable turret.

A forward-protruding, main communication array is supplemented by several hull-integrated antennas, giving this ship excellent command, control and communication capabilities.
