Quân Ngựa Sắt (Cataphract, Chinese: 鉄馬军, lit "Iron Horse Army") is the elite-of-elites-of-elites branch in Vân Du Army. Specifically made by the General herself, every of the 1000 soldiers is the peak of necromancy, compressing 1000 cavalry souls into one by making them "devour" each other. The last soul surviving will go through a specific procedure in order to turn it into a powerful soldier. They are 2 meters tall, all wearing lamellar armors with a flowing cape, wielding multiple weapons such as sworsstaffs, long lances/spears, bows, swords,... coming with a shield. All equipments are enchanted, with a single lamellar has at least 100 super small "runes" carved into.

A cataphract can not be without his ride. The horses used for them are by no mean ordinary ones: They are BRONZE, animated horses that can be very tanky, able to walk on water and even breathe out fire. Despite being made by metal, they all have lamellar armors as an extra protecting layer. They behave like normal horses, but in battle, they are total nighmare. They are able to march tirelessly and incredibly fast, running from middle Thanh Hóa to Tam Điệp, Trường Yên province (approx. 200 km) in a single hour during a moonless night and on small roads.

Despite being very strong, the number they are means that they can not be used as a part of the main force. General Vân Du knows about this, as she made them intentionally to become her special shock troop, leading by herself into the enemy's flank while they are being kept busy by the main force that have lots of light cavalries, crossbows and spears. A sudden strike to the flank usually means that whoever she's fighting is done for. Even more dead when she decides to muster the WAR ELEPHANTS.

In short, they are spess muhreens on horses.
