Kinda old test art featuring my old meowatic character made to experiment and refine how I set up base shape sketches. Left is how I did it in the past, right is the test and new method I've been experimenting with.

Before I just used the left for most body types just to get an idea of things. With right I started to experiment with making different shapes to sculpt the outline of the body and pose.
