Pre-Group History -

Sadie was born into a small litter with two sisters, June and Hazel. Their father was a stray named Sarge and their mother's name was Chelsey. The human let the kits and their mother outside to play in the small fenced in backyard after giving each of the kits a collar similar to their mother's, with a small yellow bell attached. Sarge didn't come visit too often, but when he did, the tom paid attention to each kit equally and would play with them for hours until they had to go back inside. Sadie grew close to him and loved hearing his stories about how his free life and how it was outside the human's house. Unfortunately, Sarge had been hit by a car on one day after playing with his kits and their only parent left was their mother, Chelsey.
Unlike their father, Chelsey was a neglectful parent and often ignored her kits to the point the human had to step in and help raise the three kittens when they were younger. Especially after Sarge's death, Chelsey ignored and even would act hostile to her own kits! One day the runt, Hazel, had unintentionally rolled ontop of her mother's tail while playing with one of the toy mice the human had given them which resulted in Sadie rushing to her sister's defense as their mother spat and hissed at them. Had it not been for the human's intervention, Sadie may have ended up in a physical fight with her own mother. Soon after this incident, however, a second human arrived with two smaller humans. Sadie disliked the loud noises they made and hid away under a table while watching her sisters continue to play and run around. Once the human and its small child left and Sadie crawled out from her hiding place only to be met by a sneer from her sister. June sneered at Sadie, taunting how there was no point in hiding from them, the humans would never pick an ugly cat like her. June continued to taunt Sadie, though Sadie did her best to ignore the taunts and insults. Until June crossed a line. Sadie could handle insults directed to herself all day, any day. But when June decided to pick on Hazel for being smaller, even going so far as hitting her, Sadie had enough. She was bigger and stronger than both her sisters and used that to her advantage when she suddenly tackled June. By the time the human heard the commotion and came to stop them, Sadie had already pinned her sister to the floor. She hissed at June one last time before the human pulled her away, scolding her and June for fighting. She hadn't left any wounds on her sister, except maybe on her pride, but she was still seething with fury. Sadie wiggled out of the human's grasp and went to see if Hazel was alright. To her dismay, Hazel was upset with her for attacking June. Sadie insisted it was done to defend Hazel, but the younger kit shook her head and said how it could have been resolved without fighting. Sadie puffed up her fur once more, lashing out verbally at Hazel, accusing her of being weak and stating how she would never be able to survive on her own. Hazel, hurt, turned and ran to another room, leaving her two older sisters. June went to make a remark, but just as she opened her mouth, Sadie hissed at her and stormed off. The next day a human came once more, but it was a different one, and they had two small children with them. When the small human's picked up both her sisters and left, Sadie was hit with the sudden realization that she may never see them again and the last thing she had said to Hazel had been unkind words. She felt regret begin weighing down on her as she ran after them, crying out, but the human picked her up before she could reach the door as it closed. Sadie crawled out of the human's grasp again and jumped onto the back of the couch, looking out the window as the car drove away with her sisters inside. Sadie let out another yowl of distress until she heard a familiar voice. Looking over, the young kit saw her mother, Chelsey. Sadie hadn't paid much attention to where her mother was, not that it mattered since Chelsey didn't make any effort to be present in her kits' lives. Her mother merely made a comment that Sadie was making too much noise and how she was trying to sleep. Sadie retorted back, calling Chelsey a fat, useless cat. Had the human not been there, Chelsey may have attacked her own daughter by the look of anger that glinted in her eyes after Sadie's insult. It wasn't long until another human arrived a few days later, but they weren't alone, they had a second human with them who appeared to be their mate. Sadie didn't have time to protest before the female scooped her up in her arms, making strange coo-ing noises to her. Sadie just stared at the human in confusion before giving a quick wiggle in hopes to reaching freedom, but the woman maintaned hold of the furball while her partner spoke to the human whom had raised her. The man took her collar off and the next thing Sadie knew was that she was being carried outside the home she knew and put into the couple's car. Sadie looked out the window as her home faded in the distance and curled up in the woman's lap, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, so long as she was away from her mother. She tried to think of it as being an adventure and it wasn't long before Sadie fell asleep while the two humans exchanged words between one another. Sadie later woke up as the car slowed before stopping completely in front of a house, it was smaller than the one she used to live in. She perked up, letting out a small yawn as the woman began carrying her to the door. The man hurried ahead and opened the front door for her, and soon Sadie was introduced to her new home. There was a small child inside and the woman tried to hand Sadie to the small girl, but Sadie broke free from their grasp and took off. This place was strange to her, every smell and sight was different than what she was used to. However, living in her new home did not prove as easy as she hoped as the months passed. Sadie was constantly on the move, avoiding the small child who would try to grab her tail, or trying to get away from the noise if the child threw a tantrum. Sadie had to be brushed or washed frequently due to the child attempting to draw on her or spill food on the cat. She despised the bathes she had to take, she despised living there. The food was strange and it was a daily struggle just to get some peace and quiet from the spoiled kid. Sadie decided she had enough one day after having a bowl of hot soup dumped on her head as she had tried to walk past the child's chair. It was the very next morning that Sadie slipped out the front door as the man left for work, she ran as fast as she could when she heard voices yelling after her. Once the shouting faded into the distance, Sadie stopped to catch her breath before looking around her. She realized she had gotten herself lost due to running blindly from the place, but it wasn't like she wanted to go back anyways. She'd have to learn to navigate this new area on her own.
