Description      Robbi leaped to the top of the rock just in time to see Brendan collapse in a crumpled heap.  Jumping down after him, she heard another gunshot as something grazed the back of her neck.  Running low and quick, she got to Brendan and saw he was still breathing.

There was a tranquilizer dart stuck in his neck.  Glancing around, Robbi didn't see any people or vehicles.  The other animals and guests were all running around in a panic.

She nudged Brendan, but he could barely move his head and his eyes were already rolling back.  Fear welled up in her heart as she tried to figure out what to do.

Suddenly, she remembered the Panic button in their room.  Torn between leaving Brendan alone and going for help, she kissed him on the head and gave a low whimper of affection.

Staying low in the grass, she moved back toward the cave, her ears rotating at every hint of a sound.  A herd of gazelles thundered along nearby, and she passed another unconscious guest in the form of a baby elephant.  Peeking up over the grass, she spotted the cave and looked for any sign of the gunman.

In the clearing before her she spotted Carlos the lion.  He seemed to be looking around.  She made a low mew to draw his attention and he saw her.  As he started to trot her way, another shot rang out and he collapsed.

Surprised into action, she bolted toward the cave.  Although she knew the gunman could probably see her, she hoped her speed would keep him from getting her.   Another shot rang out as she ran past Carlos, only halfway to the cave.  Putting all she could into her legs, she charged the last 100 feet to the opening, leaping and diving into the welcoming darkness.

Glancing around quickly, she saw the panic button and rammed into it with her head.  A red light came on and circled overhead silently.  Exhausted, she laid down and tried to catch her breath.

Suddenly, a shadow fell across her face, and glancing to the entrance she saw the silhouette of a man just before a shot rang out.
