The earth is growing colder, the days shorter. The animals are quiet and the birds fly away. The deer are on the move, the fires are stoked, and we prepare for a long Winter. Gather your furs, your warm clothes, made from the wool of our animals. Bring in the cows, and the sheep, all the animals from the fields. Prepare for the long, dark, cold, that brings sleep onto the lands. Now we sit by our warm fires, stories will be told, celebrations held, and food shared. We will remember those who have passed and celebrate those who were born. Together we will celebrate the Yuletide, this next solstice we will thirve!

This is a personal piece I have made for myself, in celebration of the traditions of Yule. I have German and northern Eurpoean heritage and Winter is always a special time for us. It's based off of traditional dress, jewelry, and hair in Germany and northern Europe. The antlers are to symbolize the importance of reindeer to northern Europe.
