When I was a teen, I'd sometimes peek into DA rp groups about ponies or pokémon. I'd daydreamed about joining and roleplaying with estrangers. It was something impossible to do with my irl acquaintances, and even trying to share said interests in general would usually make me feel worse at the end.

Five years ago I put together a clumsy application for PMDStarfall. The messy lineart had been photographed and separated from a white sheet of paper afterwards and colored with a mouse. The writing (now lost to time) was sloppy and all done in one go, and I still remember how happy I was when I saw that it had been accepted.

I had been in other internet circles before, but I never felt the same way I did here. There was this expectation that one day, in one way or another, things would just be over. In a sense it did happen? There are *big* hiatuses between my actual content for the DA group, but it remained as home away from home.

This experience is likely not that different from that of other members here, and I'm very happy about that! I think it should be celebrated, how we were able to find each other here. No matter if you've only been around for a while or from the beginning, present on and off or on each event, I'd like to thank you.

Thank you for half a decade of belonging and memories.
