More bird person! Drew this one on paper, along with a couple others I'll link to.

Tallans are kinda tough to draw. I know they have big, prominent beaks and a large mane of feathers, but when it comes to applications it's always a mess. It doesn't help that they're meant to be very different from most earth-birds, so references are only so useful.

In the end, I've decided to have their features fit the structure of eagles, which gives me a solid starting point for designing their beaks and necks. Feathers are still a hassle, and I doubt I'll ever get a design that feels totally grounded in reality. Oh well, at least it looks semi-feasible.
