Um ... wow.
I am rendered basically speechless by this photo. It conveys so many different emotions and feelings my head is spinning! But great capture overall.
I think the key feature of this photo is not Rens, yet the sunlight. It seems to bathe his whole existence; his entire soul; in it's entirety and fills the viewer up with warm feelings of hope.
Reluctantly, I must agree with others on this: it is a cute photo, but nevertheless it still holds many other meanings besides just being 'adorable'. Rens looks innocent and childlike, his apperance youthful with ruffled hair and a sense of curiosity behind his eyes. However, the slight stubble on his chin suggests maturity beyond which he shows to the world and experience that has helped him overcome many-a-tough time. A sense of naiveity is also created as though his childlike side longs to be accepted and loved by all, whereas his older and wiser self wishes to shut his feelings off from the world in hope of no more hurt.
But really, I can't even put words to way to the feelings this photo capture inside of me, and it would be pointless to try so I am just going to fav it now and shutup.
