the color contrast . . . its amazing. usually in a piece of artwork, there is one particular spot that grabs most of the attention in the painting, making everything else 'background', supporting the main part. this is one of those rare creations where the entire piece is one huge, magnificent vocal point. there is no 'background' because it is not needed. if you did not add the neon color splashes, danny's bright blue eye would become the center of attention. by adding in the splashes of glowing green, you successfuly equalized the image, making it so that the viewer could realy see the entire picture as one. well done.
