So I was talking to a guy recently, and gave him a few tips on how to better draw the Lati.And then I remembered that a few Eon's ago (no pun intended) I had started a Lati drawing tutorial.
So I dug it up and finally got around to finishing it, lol.
So for all those of ya who complain about not being able to draw the Lati, complain no more. Just try.
Seriously. I mean it. >:I
Anyway, I hope it helps ya out. And I apologize if it seems unusually messy. It's my first Tute.

This is very well done seeing as i'm still the worst drawer in the known universe. I will probably use this in the not to distant future. Also this is not messy at all, it's clear and easy to understand and that's the main thing.

(Warning: Random rant time. If you find any of this offensive, please do not reply, as I am only stating ideas that I have an impulse to say right now. I do not intend to offend anybody with this rant.)
The thing I believe is that although tutorials help, I dont believe people should follow only tutorials. There are some merits in figuring things out for yourself.
Same with art "teachers". All they can do is walk you through basics and the rest is for yourself to figure out.
Every person's style is unique and they must find it themselves. (I have to admit that at this point, I am wondering why Im even writing this as a comment to your picture.)
There is no "correct" way to draw.
Tutorials should only be followed in the beginning, when the person is attempting to grasp the figure they are trying to draw. After that, they should try their own way to draw it.
I do believe quite a few people would appreciate the tutorial.
Oh. And if I didnt make it clear yet, that rant was completely pointless.

Yeah, it was completely pointless.
Especially when I never said that they can only draw from this tutorial.
It's just for reference, so people can get a head start on how better to draw the anatomy.

Well, I can only hope that the art around the Lati-community can even so slightly improve.
Yeah, references are extremely good, as I missed quite a lot in my first Lati drawing. If you check in my scraps, my oldest one is my first drawing that I COMPLETELY failed on anatomy.
Oh. And I might change pokesonas just to stop myself from being grouped with those drama queens the community harbors. .-.

Very nice tutorial. though you need to work a bit more on your Latias arm Latinanomy. They are way too long and big, kinda throws off the rest of the picture.
and i just noticed the lil heart Latias is holding. dawww

I actually always draw the Lati's arms longer than normal. To make them more... Usable, so to speak. lol
And actually, those Lati were drawn liek a year ago, so it has changed a little bit.

yeah, ive noticed that in a lot of your pics, but the Lati just doesnt look right with those long thick arms, well maybe Lateon, since he is your sona, but Latias...meh, not so much. =/

Yeah, I have changed the way I draw them a bit since then though. They have 'elbows' now, lol.
That helps them look more natural. But that's the thing about the Lati, the arms are just a bugger to get right.

This is nice and simple, IF THIS WERE MADE ABOUT A YEAR AGO LOL, all my troubles would have been nonexistent. :'D

And actually, I always thought their arms were too thin. No good muscle structure. So I always draw them a bit longer and thicker, to make a more 'practical' arm desin.

Yeah it definitely helps to get an eye on how others draw them, I meant I was desperately looking for something like this a few years ago and I still remember all the agony it caused me to not find anythingg.

Though those pics were drawn like, last year or something, I've since added an 'elbow' to the Lati arms that I draw now, lol.
And true that. The main reason I wanted to make this tutorial, was because there's so few of them. And the Lati are fairly easy to draw once you know how to do it.
