this tunnel was leading to Warsaw Building Machines Plant "Warynski", on the other side it was closed.

this day we were exploring this tunnel, and outside the dog was barking. it wasn't a good idea to start a trip from here - after a while (well, about half an hour) we met a guy with a dog inside in the halls the dog was unleashed. (propably this man was a guard... I didn't know about guard there before, but he looks like) we noticed them on the other end of the hall, so we managed to run away, but on the upper floor some people were playing paintball... I'm curious what happened there...

There were a few halls, and other buildings. In past, this place had changed name a few times, and produced different things. For a long time they built boilers and steam engines here (before the war), then it started producing excavators and other building machines (after the war). Meantime, they need to rebuild it, becouse it was destroyed during the war. Industrial activity was lead there from 1833 year till 2007, when terrain was sold, and all the halls and building were pulled down. Now they are going to build blocks of flats here.

Działalność przemysłowa w tym miejscu zaczęła się już w 1833 roku - powstał tam warsztat kotlerski S. Bańkowskiego. Nastęnie zmieniono nazwę na "Borman i Szwede" i rozpoczeto produkcję także maszyn rolniczych, kotłów grzewczych i lekomobili.
Później teren zakupiła Warszawska Spółka Budowy Parowozów (Wytwórnia Parowozów w Warszawie) (1920-1944). (" Wykupiono teren o powierzchni 28 500 m2 w Warszawie przy ul. Kolejowej. Rozbudowano dwie hale fabryczne, a pomiedzy nimi wybudowano trzecią, rozbudowano budynki administracyjne, socjalne i produkcyjne, dodatkowe hale i montażownie, kuźnie, odlewnie i magazyny, wybudowano sieć torów. dojazdowych i roboczych"). W czasie wojny fabryka została zniszczona. W 1947 odbudowano fabrykę, rozpoczęto produkcję kotłów centralnego ogrzewania i do parowozów FABLOK-u (Fabryki Lokomotyw). W 1952 r. przemianowano fabrykę na Zakłady Koparek i Hydrauliki Bumar-Waryński i przestawiono produkcję na maszyny budowlane - głownie koparki gąsienicowe, pierwsze w Polsce. Po wprowadzeniu stanu wojennego strajkowało 500 pracowników. W 1991 firma zmieniła nazwę na Bumar-Waryński S.A. Grupa Holdingowa, a w 2007 tereny zostały sprzedane, a hale i budynki wyburzone, będą zbudowane tam osiedla mieszkaniowe.
