Indeed, it was fun, he's a prime cool character to do. I rarely do myself, this image was the first time I'd drawn him in nearly 10 yrs.
Thanks for the praise my good man.

No idea why you're having issues man. Should be pie, just click, "Submit - Art" then upload and fill out the info. Otherwise, goto the "help" center and find info on submitting deviations.

Great work. Great detail and wonderful manipulation of the figures, to give it that sort of off-edge, not-quite-right look, if you understand what I mean.

Phenomena sir!, I've been watching you for a bit, and this piece may be by far the best to me. So much it reminds me of Salvadore Dali's style, and i have never met anyone who could come close to matching while still keeping an original feel. Congrats

everytime i come bak and look at your gallery, i have to open this one in a new tab so i can keep staring at it even when i log out
your joker is one of my favorit renditions ive seen! its like... lee bermejo' joker(howeva its spelt) meets heath ledger as joker meets 90's cartoon joker with some of wade's waky dynamics and clothing folds and brilliant concept overall basicly.
and congrats for the DD!
BOOM!

Dude, I so love you for this comment. Made my day, best comment on this since getting the DD.
Why?
I did this before I even saw DK the movie, but was trying to not get ""too much"" of a feel like Heath, maybe a touch, but hardly. I was indeed going more for Bermejo's version considering he came up with the scared look far before Bats Begins even came out. I'm most certain they got the feel for the film from his personal design. I also though wanted to get a sleek comical look hinted with inspiration by Bruce Timm's toon version. So, basically everything you stated was shit stirring through my mind when designing this image. As for the *wAdE-ized wonkage dynOmism, that my friend, that is never intentional, I tend to have set agendas after constructing and composing, but when fine tuning the structural aspects and rendering, some reason the WHAO wtf wAdE-ization just overpowers me. Some things I just can't control. No idea...
Sincerely Justin, THANK YOU

my pleasure! whats great about your art is that its verry readable! your skills match exactly wat you think off and feel. this piece is a perfect example you got your own style yet every piece is so different and its impossible to get bored of, unlike most artists, such as lets say...alex ross; technically he has almost reached what some may call "perfection" but i find his art very verrrrry generic and boring cuz his latest work always looks like his previous work. he doesn't explore like you do. doesn't take risks and when i look at him i feel as if he feels almost "too" safe with his art.
as we all know, anything with the word "too" is bad right ? anyhoo. y am i babbling about alex ross when thers so much more interesting things to say about your work! haha
i must say you deffinatly helped me think out of the box for my art.
so THANK YOU mr Wade for being so dam talented!!!
voila!

Awesome man, thank you again. You're taking it in just like me. Artist that constantly push anew. I'm inclined with my style like those artists that I admire. Push to make a mark that might be recognizable as one artist, but not being overtly formulaic punching out stamps that constantly revisit the same attributes stylistically. If that makes sense. Every image I do, I try to invent a new energy that I haven't captured in the past. Weather it be composition, shapes, forms, expression, whatever the case, something fresh form myself to learn for future pieces. Constantly building a vacabulary in several languages.
It's guys like you that I admire that like my work because you're doing exactly what I do for learning. Really taking in artist that aren't formulaic. Rock man, keep killin' like only you can. It's a constant endless path of challenge and it's one helluva ride. I hope you enjoy it even more than I do. We're here for each other.
