Ah, plain beautiful. The motherly look on the Snow Queen, the innocent gaze of the child - but I somehow sense a questioning in her eyes.
It's a really nicely captured since, but sadly, I don't really remember the tale ^_^'' I think I have to read that up one day.

The best interpretation of this fairytale that I've seen!!! What always seemed so frightening about that tale was the awful iciness of the Snow Queen...and the way she stole warmth and color...and the contrast between her skin and the warmth of Gerda's here, captures the esssence of that. BRAVO!!!!!!!!

I totally love the way the woman's face is, like the blue lips in contrast with the white and black, very alluring. Also, the way the little girl is looking at her. It's all perfect in my opinion.
