I always get confused when I see modern '80's retro parties' and the way people dress. Never once do I see anything that is iconically '80s to me (ironically maybe). Sure I may have been more interested in GI Joe than girls for most of the decade but I still was imprinted with certain looks..
This is one of those looks. The Legend of Billie Jean meets Blondie, meets the girl from Buckaroo Banzai meets... well you get the idea. Short blonde hair, black leather and some neon around...

I think I understand now why my parents sighed when they saw '60s themed parties when i was in HS and College.
