Description
This the the fifth out of twelf illustrations for my graduation project in artcollege.'Transcultural fairytales' was the topic for my masterpaper. Studies I did for my paper proved that fairytales written by other cultures can be illustrated in such a way that it can be read by several western and eastern cultures.
Since I had to choose a Japanese fairytale to illustrate, I decided to go for 'Issun-Boshi, the oldest and most well known Japanese fairy tale.
The text has been translated from japanese to dutch by a major in Japanese Language Studies, and later has been rewritten by me.
