So I had been waiting for years for redpolls to show up at my feeder, and every winter I would look out at the falling snow and hope we'd have an irruptive year. Well, this year I looked out at the falling snow, and guess who decided to drop by?
At long last! REDPOLLS! There's a flock of about 15 that have been hanging around my house for a few days now, and it's been absolutely wonderful!
This poofy male was hopping around in the snow on my deck this morning.
