Description

Among the 2D (or 2.5) platformers of the 90s I think the ones that struck me most from the artistic point of view (music and level design) are the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and the first Rayman.

Rayman is a very artistic platformer, with beautiful music, vibrant colors, fluid animations, inspired level design; all woven into a beautiful tapestry.

In addition to the first game, the only other titles in the series that I played were Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends and although they are excellent games I found them less inspired and they impressed me less, but perhaps the fault is only mine because I have grown up now.

One thing I really like about the latest Raymans is the addition of Globox as a regular character, I've never played the game where Globox debuts but he's a character I love.
