Description
For a SciFi timeline I'm currently developing.-------------------------------------
The Pégase is the first Launch Vehicle that was successfully developed by ESA, following the debacle of the Europa.
Powered by three Rolls-Royce RZ.2 engines in the first Kerolox stage and five Snecma HM-7A for the hydrolox second stage, and a single HM-7A in the optional third stage, the Pégase was mostly responsible for the commercial success of the European commercial space program, though it was also able to carry the European manned space craft Argo and modules for the Columbus space station.
She was available as basic Pégase 10, Pégase 12L and 14L with two or four solid boosters, and Pégase 12P and 14P, with two or four liquid boosters. For interplanetary payloads and high mass geostationary satellites up to 4800 kg the Pégase 12HL, 14HL 12HP and 14HP were equipped with an additional third stage.
