Description
When Michael was little, he and his father moved to an island away from the mainland.
After the move, Jeremiah scraped together his funds to make their life on the island work, but he didn't have enough money left over from food and rent to pay for Michael to go to kindergarten. His job as a florist didn't pay very well, and he didn't have the time to get an education or get into a new profession with a five year old son. Instead he would either bring him into work with him or have the elderly lady next door watch over him. When their money situation became too tight, Jeremiah decided it would be best to move back to the mainland and live in his childhood home, with his old father living in the apartment in the loft.
