Not long after that, the horse ran inside with the other security guard at the front. Sera and Kari took no time running in after them when the opportunity arise, and then Tori and Jake came in after them. Looking around, the place was rather calm and in order. No sign of chaos or destruction, or even a drop of blood like there is when The First is in control. It may have meant no one was hurt, but it also made it harder to find where Matthew was in the building. The only hint they had he was hear was people already disappeared.
"Well, this was your call Kari," Tori said, "So what do we do from here?"
"We figure out where he is." Kari snapped back, "He's somewhere in the building, hunting someone. We figure out his target and find it, then we find him."
"We know he's after someone in the building that drugged him." Sera said, I'm guessing who ever was in charge of all this. Probably wanna start with the boss."
As she said that, Jake started to look around, turning his head a lot and sniffing the air.
"But there's no way they are gonna just let us up there." Tori said, but paused, "Well, I'm pretty sure Kari could fly up there, how do the rest of us get there?"
"Well, how would Matthew get up there?" Sera asked, "He'd have to come up with some way unnoticed."
"Girls?" Jake said, but it feel on deaf ears, "Girls.. Hey girls..." They kept talking among one another, not hearing him at all, "GIRLS!"
"What is it, Jake" Tori asked, "Did you finally figure something out?"
"I might have. Every crime scene he's left behind has had the place burned down." Jake said, "Do you all smell rotten eggs?"
Sera and Kari sniffed the air too, and their eyes went wide. Quickly, Sera ran for the fire alarm and pulled it. Quickly the building was blaring with alarms as people were panicking to escape in the confusion. An opportunity the four too in order to reach any available stairs to take them up, assuming the head of the place was several floors up. Hopefully they could get there before Matthew did. Unfortunately, they were not capable of getting through the panic of people. The building was trying to evacuate, and security was making sure people were only getting out of the building.
