Description
About a week past, and Adept's Children were already up early and preparing for school, except for Katherine. She was lying on the living room couch while everyone else was busy gathering their backpacks, supply and breakfast. While they lie sprawled out on the couch, Sonne ran into the room checking around the book shelves.
"Lost something?" The right-most self of Katherine asked and looked her way. "Or did you want to bring something special in today."
"Yes, I was gonna bring in some seeds." Sonne said, as she slide books around the shelves, "My club a starts soon, and I need to have something for the start of our meetings. Have you seen them."
"You left them by the desk, while looking over some books." Katherine's Middle self said, "Try looking in the drawers if you have to."
Sonne ran to the corner where the two desks where and grabbed some small bags right away, "They were still left out. At least they're okay." She smiled and started to leave, but then stopped and looked back to the cerberus-taur who was lying across the entire couch, "Are you doing alright? Did you get breakfast yet?"
"We'll have some later." The left-most Katherine said, "Before Adept starts teaching us more about chemistry, we'll be sure to grab a bite to eat." that one lied on the arm of the couch looking to the ground.
"Okay, but you do seem rather depressed." Sonne said, and then turned so her tail had to face away from her Katherine, "Is she treating you well?"
"No no, she is." The right-most Katherine said, then her middle self lifted herself up a bit and looked to Sonne as well, "At least, as good as she can be. She does what she can, but there's some things I want to do but won't be able to."
"Like what?"
Each one started bringing up things, one by one, "Go outside, walk around the park, go window shopping, Shopping in general."
"All I can do is what ever is around this house." The right one said.
"You and the others are the only ones I can talk to." The middle one said.
Sonne was quiet at first when she let them vent, then she took a deep breath, it seemed they were done. "I'm really sorry to hear that. Have you tried talking with Adept about this?"
"Why bother?" The left-most Katherine said, "She even said, there's no illusion that could hide us. I don't get why she doesn't just turn us back. All she said is that it's complicated."
"Well, she said she wanted us to grow with this and come back." Sonne said, "Thought we could become better because of what happened."
"How is this better for us." The middle Katherine said, but then she leaned back, "I'm sorry. We didn't mean to..."
"It's just, being only here for so long gets really lonely, especially when you are all at school." The right one said, and then she looked up at Sonne, "Do you think, maybe... we could hang out later? After school?"
"Maybe?" Sonne shrugged back, "I'll be busy with my club, but I'll be free to do so after supper tonight."
The two of Katherine that was looking at Sonne smiled, but the middle one looked away as their face turned disappointed.
"Hey, I'm not the only one who is busy, and I might not be the most busy." Sonne said, "I heard Nic has been not the best since homecoming, he's kind of the joke of the school. I bet he would love an escape to talk with you."
At the idea, all three of Katherine looked up to her with a smile, then their lower half sprang off the couch and ran out into the hall.
Sonne giggled a bit, but covered her mouth, then looked to the seeds she had. "Things are gonna turn out great. I can't wait to start the club with Casper."
