Description
Alicia got a day off from work for once, so instead of spending her afternoons around tons of fried food and soda, the fripparoo actually went for the part of town to window shop at a few vintage places. Most people tended to avoid her, but Alicia had her share of people SHE had to avoid as well. She kept a fair distance, stepping around humans as she tried to take a look at some of the window displays. She had to cover her mouth and swallow a lot when looking in the window of the bakery. She would have gone inside and bought a whole cake, but the door inside wasn't redesigned for fripparoos, most buildings were still not made for those like her yet. She built up her self-control and closed her eyes, then she turned away and then started walking. Instantly, Alicia walked into something before she could open her eyes."Oh sorry." A female voice spoke above him, something odd because no human was EVER taller than her. "Are you okay?" Alicia opened her eyes to see a large green face with a broad snoot with black lips looking down at her. "I didn't hurt you did I?"
Alicia backed up a bit from the fripparoo, ears back and eyes wide. Her heart was racing, but she didn't know what to do. This fripparoo looked rather nice, even with the goth look. Even her smile and purple freckles were kind of cute.
"Aww, you're a shy one aren't you?" the fripparoo giggled
Alicia wanted to say something, but her mind was rushing with ideas and memories. All good and bad.
"My name is-" Before she could say more, Alicia ran trying her best not to trample humans as she ran for several blocks, her mind still in a panic.
She stopped in an alleyway and hold her ears down to her head. Her heart was still racing and she was trying not to cry, so many things ran through her mind that just spiraled. The day her "Mother" ate her family and captured her because she "Liked her." The manipulation and arguing, the night she ran away. Looking to her large webbed hands was a reminder every day of what these monsters did to her, yet she also felt affinity toward other fripparoo, as if she could like them or even become close with them. That just felt like a further push from being like them, like what happened to her before. it all just kept cycling and spinning in her head. Maybe Alicia didn't need to run at all, why would she had to run someone so nice? Should she go apologize? Would she even find her again? It just kept going in her head with no real help in the end.
She took a few deep breaths to calm down, then she started to walk out of the alley, looking around. There were a few fripparoo around, but she didn't see the one from before. She sighed relieved and started walking away. She tried to get her mind off of what happened, looked to the stores again. The thing she always saw first was a blue fripparoo with a brown coat to match her scruffy hair and a green undershirt to match her eyes. It was something that kept haunting her, despite wanting to try and enjoy her day off. In the end, she stopped window shopping and actually walked into one of the buildings, perusing their wears to try and get her mind on something better. Maybe there could be a day she could calm herself enough to talk with more than just humans, not get scared of fripparoo. She just needs more time.

Well, wasn't expecting to write this out, it was just suppose to be an art piece to show Alicia's discomfort around other fripparoo.
I wasn't even expecting to draw her again, but then I got in contact with the original maker of this species, and felt encouraged to make more of her.
Maybe I'll keep this up. Alicia has a nice design, and I'd love to explore her character more.
