This was for a good friend of mine, Roger. He is colourblind, so I decided to stay away from anything which required the distinction of tones (since colourblindness is more about tonality than colour) and similar colours. A stencil fitted the bill. I used matt black paint to coat a kitchen tile, and then used a brush dripping with paint to swirl chaotic lines on it. Took a long time to dry! The stencil was developed in photoshop, and a little freehand. Not strictly a stencil as I copied the outlines to the tile with pencil and filled them in with acrylic using a brush.
