To put it simply, Torin's magic is ILLUSIONS. Smokes and mirrors, deception. He can cast thin mirror-like veils that both make things appear like they aren't there, or do the exact opposite. Keeping up an image for extended periods of time can be very draining, but he's trained to keep up his image pretty well to get by in life.

Torin is a calculated individual to put it simply. A chaotic rat bastard. He comes off as very aloof, and uncaring. He's spent most of his life alone, living off scraps and thieving, so he doesn't particularly care for ethics or manners. He has little faith in those in power, and openly fights against the authorities to prove a point. He's incredibly independent, not having relied on anyone much since he was abandoned at the age of five. On the surface, he really embraces the idea that he's nothing more than a petty criminal, but really he wishes to be able to settle down one day and have friends and family.

Due to his lifestyle, Torin is very perceptive, and has a keen eye for detail. He maintains a cool head at all times, and doesn't flinch in the face of danger. He loves teasing others, and getting into trouble. He's always pushing the boundaries of how far he can press his luck before he gets in trouble. It's backfired on him a few times, and he has the scars to prove it.

He's much kinder than he comes off once you get to know him, and his doggedly loyal to those who manage to break down his walls. He longs for someone to not see him as a filthy thief... Despite acting like one all the time...
