Second Piece for Breeds 14th release Halcyon.A 12k pixel greyscale render, modeled/rendered in Rhino 3D then coloured/detailed in Photoshop with mah Wacom.

Just wow - thanks to everyone checking it out, way cool.
He was rendered really big, 12000 pixels wide (greyscale) and the surfaces were very smooth to begin with (no pipes or damage). The detail is Photoshop but having these huge shapes correctly lit to play with makes it easier cuz shrinking it down creates a lot of the detail.
Used the brush tool and its blend modes to paint onto the render, building up it up in colour then the lil stuff. Few bits of rust and metal texture clone tooled in. Lots of 1px brush work, lots of patience hehe. Worked on it for a couple weeks with some other stuff, not solid tho.

absolutly beautiful, i love the dirtyness of it. it looks to be hundreds of years old, either that or it was thrown into a blender. either way, the textures used on this piece are fantastic. i think this is totally worth a place on my fav list.

Probably way to late to say anything, you probably won't read this, but because of this peice of art I'm going to try and learn Rhino 3D. I understand it'll take a lot of time, but knowing someday I might be even half this good with enough dedication, I'm going to try, and it's all your fault.

Wonderful detail and battle damage/deterioriation there, it has a look of either being pissed off, about to fall apart, or both. The double barrel cannon sticking out of the torso is also a nice addition. It in a way resembles a quad battlemech
