Characters: Gale

Setting: Fellfang Camp shores during the Summer [August 2022]
Summary: Right before the Call to Arms to free Fellfang, Gale spends time on his own to reflect on the current state of affairs for himself and his pack.

With time on his own to ponder, Gale worked himself up into tears. Worried for Illsa, worried for his packmates, and worried for Fellfang- Gale cannot help but weep bitter and silent tears of grief and fear for the future. Food was depleting quickly and it would only be a matter of time until it finally ran up...what would they do then? He couldn't let his packmates see him in such a state, hence his solitude. He didn't want to worry anyone else with his anxieties... Was this any better than starving on his own? It took Gale some time to realize that despite all of this, despite the current state of affairs and tensions...that this was better. He wasn't doing this alone anymore, not as long as he was within the ranks of Fellfang.

Suddenly, howls breaking through the silence that hung over the island caught his attention. A pit formed in his stomach as he realized the implications...it was time. Time to fight for and defend his new home and friends? Would he be up to the challenge of finally meeting these monstrous hive wolves face to face? Gale wasn't sure...at first. However he once again realized that Fellfang made him stronger, having a reason to want to fend off these pale beasts other than self-preservation...and that would make him stronger than anything else. With a heavy heart but newfound resolve...Gale shook off his tears and took off towards Starheim- ready to do what he needed to do to protect his pack.

Vent piece I decided to pretty up and turn into a full piece. Gale's anxiety over the future is interrupted with the call to arms to free Fellfang! The future is now and Gale knows he's gotta be in the present to help defend his new home.
