❧ Build: On the larger side with a hardy body and long sturdy legs. His face has rectangular, blocky features with a slight roman nose. His ears are rather large while his tail is bobbed due to a genetic mutation. His build and skill sets primarily focuses on strength, endurance, and agility.

❧ Fur: Mid-length with downwards, hanging fur. The texture is silky and soft with a thick density of fur mostly around his cheeks and mane.

❧ Pelt Colors: Pale, off-white with a lighter underside. Has ginger markings on his face, backs of his ears, limbs, and tail top with dark brown accents as well as ticking on his face, ears, back, and tail top.

❧ Eye Color: Icy Blue

❧ Scars: Prominent facial scarring that rips through his right ear and trails down near the corner of his eye down to his upper cheek.

❧ Scent: Freshly dug earth with a hint of honey.

CHARACTER

❧ (+) Traits: Benevolent/ Genuine/ Loyal/ Outgoing

Harlan, despite his flaws, does his best to be a decent and kind fellow. There is already so much needless cruelty in these dark times, and Harlan does what he can to avoid contributing to it. Sticking to his morals and refusing to be corrupted, Harlan is firm in his belief of being the good he sees in the world. Overall Harlan is a sincere and trustworthy wolf who is not one for mind-games or manipulation. Honest to the point of bluntness, Harlan is against the idea of keeping secrets and wears his heart on his sleeve and speaks his mind- even if the truth hurts the other party. Dedicated to Varanguard and their cause along with his friends and family within the pack, this young wolf is protective over those he cares about and will do all he can to keep them safe and taken care of. Between his truehearted nature and steadfast alliance to Varanguard's fight for freedom he is staunchly loyal and willing to put his life on the line if need be. Affable and somewhat charming when he wants to be, Harlan is a bit of a social butterfly who enjoys the company of others immensely. Harlan surrounds himself with others constantly, despising being on his own in any capacity for too long. His talkative nature and general easy-going nature makes him enjoyable to have around- at least if you ask him.

As far as anyone can remember, Harlan has always been a bold and plucky wolf with a bit of a smart mouth. His daredevil nature allows him to take risks others might sway others away, whether these risks are worth it or not are up for debate. His antics always seems to teeter a fine line between bravery and foolhardiness. He is imaginative and open-minded, there is almost nothing he is not interested in learning about. Seeing life as one big puzzle that needs to be solved he will constantly ask questions and investigate when he wants to figure something out. Sometimes his eagerness tends to come back to bite him though, especially if he sticks his nose in someone else's business who does not want something to be known. Despite the current circumstances, Harlan is an optimistic young wolf who sees the world through rose-colored lenses. His dreamy and borderline quixotic worldview allows him to see and search for the best in himself and others. At times this overly romanticized perspective doesn't allow him to see those around him or certain situations in a more critical light. One of Harlan's most notable qualities is his sense of humor. Sarcastic and droll, he sees just about everything as a joke and is a very impish and fun-loving individual who rarely takes much seriously. Between his humorous nature and his eccentricity in general, many see Harlan to be rather quirky if not outright strange and spacy at times.

With war and hardship taking up the minds and hearts of those around him, it is hard for Harlan to come to grips with the far darker reality that surrounds him. Constantly he is filling what little free time he has with distractions from the more unpleasant reality he finds himself in. More often than not he is lost in thoughts and fantasies of a brighter, less blood future and spends so much time removing himself from reality that it is hard for him to live in the present. His sense of humor along with his bold personality makes it hard for Harlan to keep his mouth shut when he really should. Though he tries not to go out of his way to hurt feelings, he's also unafraid to spare feelings if he see's the other party as being dishonest or just outright wrong. While he sees himself as a jokester others find him to be irreverent and disrespectful at times. Harlan isn't much one to plan his actions out for the most part and will often act without forethought in many situations. His impetuous nature in combination with his zealousness make him prone to rushing into danger without thinking of the consequences. Many see his recklessness as what will be his ultimate undoing and he has already had close calls due to this trait. Despite his seemingly sanguine and cheerful nature, beneath the surface brews a storm of anxiety, self-doubt, and fears for the future. He would rather die than stand by idly as the world passes him by, and he gets incredibly agitated when things become stagnant or feel futile. Though he spends most of his time avoiding the confrontation of his true feelings it all brews underneath all the jokes and smiles that he puts on for his packmates.

Overall Harlan is a sturdy and long-legged individual built for chasing and taking down prey. He is able to run and track for long distances, conserving the brunt of his energy for taking down prey once he has the creature in his sights.

MIND

Surprisingly witty and charismatic, Harlan is a good conversationalist and able to talk himself out of trouble every once in a while.

Being on the larger, bulkier side Harlan is not the quickest wolf around and has trouble maintaining a rapid pace for long periods of time.
