Agh yes I understand that feeling, it is the great divide between developer and end user.
The average person just doesn't understand how great certain aspects of a program might be, and they tend to focus on the visual rather then the amazing process behind the code that they just can't see/appreciate.
The program is that in programming the concept and code is the MOST important thing to us, but to the end user how it looks and how easy it is to understand is important to them. However in our minds how it looks totally doesn't matter, anyone can make it look good, the concept and how we make it possible is what makes our code unique and worth while... which in reality is never really seen by the end user in order for them to appreciate it.
