D'oh, the face looks even more pink on this computer...arrgg...
The silver was kind of tough to do, it could have been the background color...or something else, I dont know
I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but I dont know how to make it better at this time. So I left it like this.
I like the silver look of the blade the most. =]

Dude, this picture so so amazingly detailed! I love the colors (but yeah, the face isto pink though). I think that it would look better if the hair color was brighter. But it's still really good!

Hey Wen,
Awesome looking piece. You mentioned the metal may be looking a little weird to you. Maybe there is a little too much red base in it. Perhaps try pushing the metal base color to a cool color, towards the bluish or greenish hues to go with the green tabard better. If you do that, the figure will also stand out from the background.
On the other hand, you could just desaturate it a bit as the digital version came out a litte to strong with the reds.

I think i uderstood what i do not like in your art. I mean that on level of intuition something was bothering me. I think i udnerstood what. Your characters are to good. I mean that he wears battle armor, sheld and swrod. Yet theylook as if they never been in a battle. Not even one scratch. Ok lets presume that it is so. But sword?!?! Even if it was made only a hour ago by a blacksmith... It is nto sharpened or what? I mean when you sharpen the sword you the scraches... There msut be scratches

Do you collect and/or study armour or armour references? It's quite hard to figure out how the light reflects off it at first.
I think a way to improve it would be to do something with the green cloth at the back, behind the legs. Exactly what, I don't know. I'm sorry I can't be more help. Still, awesome work!

I've never seen armor so well drawn in. my. life! And I've never been able to draw it either. ;-; I guess practice makes better, huh? The texture you put in the armor makes it look even more "real" considering any other armor I've ever seen drawn seems "plastic-y" you know?
