characters of chinese influence. or, totally chinese influence. XDthese armors are based off popular chinese depiction of ancient warriors, which use the Tang dynasty armor for basis, and various decorations are added for visual interest. commonly, it has been a popular thing to draw most ancient heroes in the Tang dynasty fashion, as it is most recognized dynasty in most accounts. so much that the chinese is referred to as the "Tang people"
this tendancy to make ancient heroes into the wrong time period for pure visual interest is not unlike the westerners for drawing King Arthur into the 15th century fashion, even though he was much much earlier on in history.
it was a fun thing to learn about.

Dude... I mean, I've watched and admired your artwork for months, and there's no denying your talent... but I've been wanting to ask for a while... at exactly what point do you determine you've got enough detail in your drawings? It's always amazing just how much you cram in there and it still looks damn good!

btw, have u ever heard of Jade Dynasty? Its an (total) Chinese based MMORPG, and I think u'd quite enjoy studying their armor... (just a suggestion...

Your characters are still stiff, ive been watching you for maybe 4 years now, and i thought eventually itll just pass and theyll be more dynamic, but your characters are still stiff, i dont know why? This isn't a put down or anything, trust me, i know your still a good artist, but i dont know what your characters lack that'll give it shape, dynamic and form? lol
