Description
Just a quick segment of what I would think to be Ruby's ultimate Pokémon team. Some of these decisions would be self-explanatory on why I would think Ruby would have these Pokémon. If you would know about our previous works, you would guess that Marokwak and Scizor would make the cut due to Marowak having a sad motherless backstory and Scizor looking kinda like Crescent Rose. Yamper looking more like Zwei than any other dog-like Pokémon and being an Electric-Type, making the more inclusive with Types. Corviknight looking more like a Nevermore and resembling Qrow's bird form.

So, taking all of that out of the way, there might be a more interesting decision made, here. Garchomp. Many Pokémon and RWBY fans would argue that when it comes to matching Ruby's Crescent Rose, Absol would be more fitting due to the blade in the side of its head. I mean, that's true, but I don't know. There's plenty of scythe-like Pokémon around. Ehh...I'm sure we could fit in another one.

Scyther fits in this bill pretty well, but um...

Yeah, this isn't really cuttin', though, is it? Not only that, but considering that Scyther has more weaknesses due to being a Bug/Flying Type, it would probably be in her best interest to evolve it into Scizor. It certainly doesn't have that starter Pokémon kind of potential. Unlike Garchomp, who is more like Crescent Rose in Pokémon form. You expect something to have the lethality but the speed overpowered-ness of Crescent Rose when Garchomp's got all that packed in.

That's about an upgrade compared to everyone's favorite pick: Absol, who is known to be the Disaster Pokémon. Typical. Typical. Has the same amount of attack as a Garchomp, but only a chunk of everything else. Having abilities that have it fall under Pressure and relying on Super Luck criticals. Amateurs. FUCKING AMATEURS. If Absol is a resemblance of Crescent Rose, then Garchomp is a representation of Crescent Rose's much needed UPGRADE.

And imagine if Ruby's Garchomp was to have its sandstorm ability, but with rose petals. Ruby would throw out her Pokeball, it would just arrive, and a storm of petals would go out like this:

Garchomp is the flying fighter jet bowling ball that is meant to knock down every bowling pin that would be Ruby's opponents. And God-damn; does it hit a STRIKE. Now, here's another question that I'm about to address. Why would Ruby give a Mega Evolution to Scizor if Garchomp is pretty much her MVP Player?

Well, let me answer that question with another question. You know what's stupid? The fact that Midna isn't in Smash Bros. But Giving Garchomp being given a Mega Evolution is kinda stupid, as well. To be fair, its new form makes it more like a scythe than its original form, but...the original is arguably better.

Garchomp DOES get beefed up, but its powered down by its speed. I mean, they have to nerf SOMETHING. And with those massive blades, it would probably end up slicing itself into sushi. Though, Garchomp's overpowered-ness comes from its speed. So, depending on how you would even be able to use Mega Garchomp, it would probably just be better to use its original form.
