Description
Holy. Freaking. God.This took quite a bit of time, but it was well worth it. Know how I've been on a slight drawing kick? Well, my dear girlfriend of 6 years today, bought me a Wacom tablet as well as an assortment of other art and drawing related things. So that's how this came about.
Anyway, I drew this up with my tablet based on this guy here: reitanna-seishin.deviantart.co… I saw this a few days prior, and really thought it was neat, so I deemed it worthy of being my first tablet project. Unfortunately, my computer is to slow to support the pressure sensitivity for the tablet, so I had to configure a brush that worked with my style. When all was said and done, the drawing I did was okay, but I wanted the lines to pop rather than be all sketchy. I looked at a few Inkscape tutorials, but the weren't really doing it for me. Then there was this one with paths, which I just adjusted for use in GIMP. Anyway, I used this method, and the lines turned out incredible in my opinion. I'll likely be going over all my drawings with this method in the future.
Anyway, I'm very proud of this one, and I'm incredibly interested to hear what everyone thinks about it. I realize there are some flaws, and I think I'm going to have to use a thicker brush stroke next time so the lines don't fade so thin, but over all, I'm absolutely loving this.

D: Oh my gosh that is awesome! And what are you talking about, the thin lines are great I like how they fade off in some spots, it gives the picture some really cool dynamic.
