just to prove i havent been slacking off for the last few weeks making silly flash animationshere's some color roughs of my comic book project: first three pages
i guarantee it gets really silly after the third page.

The Kappa in the first panel looks like a tengu, so its hard to differentiate between the kappa and the tengu on the last panel.
Tengu in a can? Or was the can an animated Japanese monster as well? Lol either way, i love it so far. The lighting is sweet, especially for the kid on the fence, and around the Tengu's hands.

well it will look less like the tengu when there's more value on him, considering these are just comps - there's gradation to show the depression in his skull
also he will look more ambigous
and in a later page the kappa drops down from the rafters anyway, but thanks.
also no: the can is just a vengeful spirit haunting a beer can dating back to the 40's. He takes the form of an otter though, but he's rather fat.

Love the twighlight-ee colors in one of the first panels, give it a very dreamy feel.
I also love the panel with the tengu on the rafters? The colors and the lighting very well executed.
