so here's a scene from the film I did for my BA at uni, back in 2007, that I never finished.

And when I say "never finished", I did all the animation, but never got round to cleaning it up: it was a very nice minute and a half pencil test. before I started production, I ummed and ahed about doing it in Flash, then opted against it on the grounds that I wasn't confident enough using the software; in hindsight, if I had done that, I probably would have finished it!

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to take one of those scenes, and draw over and colour it in Flash. so while the inking and colouring of this was done over the last 2 or 3 days, the animation is actually 2 years old; in fact a lot of the frames were incomplete drawings that I had to redraw as I went along. so if the animation is a bit ropey, forgive me, I was a little bit crapper back then!

I realise there are a few things I could have fixed on this, but the whole process was so labourious I just stuck with what I had. the whole point of this exercise was (a) to see what it would look in Flash, and (b) to remove another pencil test from my showreel.

oh, and the BG is done in Photoshop n shit.
