Two brothers, Luke and David, woke up in a changed world. Freak Lightning storms brought Mass Hysteria, Seizures and Wildfires. soon they learn that many who survived were changed.

Just a few blocks away, combat veteran Jesse and paramedic Michael rely on each other to evade agitated mobs willing to commit violence at the slightest provocation.

Elsewhere, old Police Officer Ed and his son Kent prepare their survivalist gear, wondering if the time had finally come to bug out.

Amid all this, a teenage girl Kaylee pushes her cancer incapacitated mother in a wheelchair past burning buildings and the remains of a city that unraveled in a single night.

As their paths converge, they must try to navigate both a familiar & hostile landscape as their world descends into darkness. And in the distance the roars of thunder grow louder... and perhaps the whispers of a god can be heard.
