With this i wanted to bring Hayate's design into My anime/manga universe and bring him a little bit of a futuristic ninja look. I borrowed a design i used previously on a sketch for one of my own characters and worked around it to fit Hayate better. This is the one I submitted, I made another that i will upload here just for comparison.
