Description

An entry for   shot-fired    's Spring Cleaning Show:

GV:NY 3rd Annual Spring Cleaning ShowGeneral InformationEnd Date: May 1, 2021Map and Facilities: NY Property Map More Examples of the Inside of the Indoor Arena: SVI Schooling Show Entry - GV He Ain't No Kid Nice and Shiny Shine, Shine, SHINE Weather: Bright, clear, breezy, and glorious! GV's New York property has one very large indoor arena where the show will be held. It has large windows on three sides, but bleachers for guests to watch line one of the long walls with hardwood behind them. There's sand underfoot and a half wall dividing the bleachers and waiting area from the arena. Horses staying overnight for the show may stay in the middle aisle of the South side of the main stables.  The premise of this show is to get your equines as clean and shiny as you physically can without adding accessories, sparkly bridles, or other add-ons.Rules and RegistrationHorses of any stature and any breed may participate, even fictional breeds. This is a halter show. This is judged by how accurate the shine looks on the horse's coat. Pre-registration is NOT necessary. Tracing and gridding is permitted with proper crediting. Absolutely no pre-made lineart. Tag me in your entry with @shot-fired so I will see your entry. Fullbody entries only. Backgrounds are entirely optional, however, they will add to your score. Handlers are fully optional, but they will add to your score. (Handlers must be at least humanoid.) Adult horses must be wearing a bridle (or hackamore) to breed standard, but must not contain any added "bling" (rhinestones, stud chain not covered in rubber, decorative metal panels, etc).  Foals obviously will be wearing halters, but these must be plain leather halters with no added "bling" (see above). The following information must be included:  Horse: (Include name and the link to the horse's reference.) Horse Age and Gender: (Horse's age and gender.) Class: (what class are you entering?) Your story, should you choose to include one, may exceed 1000 words, but you will only earn points for up to 1k words. It can be about the clouds of horse hair flying from behind the stables the day before, or it can be in the ring!) I used this stock image  by for drawing reference.

This was great for practicing some more realistic? Colouring.
Rather than just my usual flat colouring with a hint of shading.

I decided to try on my most realistic? Horse. Being mainly
just the one colour I thought would be the best place to start.

I have finished the lines of a second possible entry for this show,
but I don't know if I'm going to be able to colour it shiny...

It would be good if I could apply a white colour after colouring,
but with my pencils, the white does absolutely nothing...

You don't know what you're capable of until you try though!
