I decided to depict some extinct animals only(not dinosaurs!) and will be probably going through the alphabet of them too because the A-Z of dinosaurs was loads of fun! This is the Andrewsarchus:
-It was closely related to entelodonts, hippos and cetaceans which includes whales.
-It was found in inner Mongolia.
-It's only known from one skull
-It was the largest terrestrial mammalian carnivore known on the basis of the length of the skull.
-It was a large, heavily-built, wolf-like, mammal lived during the Eocene, about 45 to 36 million years ago. It walked on four short legs and had a long body, a long tail, and feet with hoofed toes.
-The Andrewsarchus was possibly was a scavenger rather than active predator as it’s teeth were able to crush bones.
-It measured 6 feet high at the shoulder and 12 feet long, a size that would make Andrewsarchus the largest known meat-eating land mammal that ever lived.
-It was believed to be both a scavenger and omnivore.
