My collaboration with based on his wonderful poem "Stand alone in my only song"
It was really a wonderful experience working on this great work
Often I see the raven
from afar and wonder
Does he know my name?
Will the wind blow
only to chill my bones
wires waving from the sound
Then memories come forward
find myself once again
with the light my friend
...As I gaze upon the open portal
and wonder what the day will bring
Stand alone in my only song
Come with me to the unknown

could be our next project

many moons with a cold spell in view
so much wanted my extra blanket at night
the sun dial told it was noon but the deaf
blasting sound inside me head had to focus
still on a vision of a green grass of home
with my favorite dog spot lagging, behind
the yellow orb in the sky up so high
casting shadows below the edge of time
hands held in a v spinning in circles with eyes closed
hold that pose for 3 clicks of a F stop
brick lighter flame rising higher with
crying tear of rain falling on the dying ambers

...this is truly a gorgeous collaboration , You and Skot, wow...it is fabulous, I love everything ...the emotions, as well as in the poem, as well as in the composition of the image...every little detail is perfect and so meticulous ... ..
The book "of life" being the ground, the base, of the old , lonely man, telling his story, the pages floating into the waves, blown by the wind(the time )...as those pages of the "partitions"on the piano (the only song of his life)...the ship behind navigating on the wild (or silent)waters(of life), (again, who we go through life),the sky is tourmented, almost tortured sky, a big storm coming up, (blow it all away, or bring it all "up "again)...the tree is very symbolic , too, as we are all "initially" seeds , growing up in the 4 seasons of life...getting stronger or weaker, having roots also...and of course the bird, the raven...flying towards the old man, maybe to come and protect him, maybe , to not be alone anymore, maybe, to tell him, to "fly" free, finally...a
and there is also much hope, as there is the lantern "enlightening " him, just beside, and near the raven , on the piano, light again, the chandelier, with the burning candles, ..there is still a flame(hope)...
all in all, it is B R I L L I A N T, a Masterpiece, thanks to You both, for sharing such a thoughtful and deeply emotional piece of Art...
