Just saying, guys, just saying....Nothing special. Just a brief scratch of what Astrid might say, becomming a Spectral Assassine (what she probably never will, please spare me with 'it's an honour and she's just a traitor' and such ^^).
Sometimes I wonder if the Dark Brotherhood will ever learn...
- Never trustfully recruit someone whose mother was killed by your organisation
- Never kill someone's family members as long as you still need them
- Never...
..they might be angry. Just a guess.

Hey, you're right. In a way, it's no wonder they repeat the mistakes of the past, as the leader of that 'New Generation' is not at all willing to learn from it.
Yet, I like both Generations just the same. I loved how Bethesda managed to bring in a new, logical main problem of the Dark Brotherhood instead of just 'copying' Oblivion.

But I think Skyrim is "too epic" for me playing a murderer. Just saying. /o/
The next generation is cool too, but, well... I don't remember poeple of the sanctuary, and I forgot almost of the quests... But whatever !

But I remember them all. I took some time just walking through the Sanctuary and speaking to them. They had very different oppinions to Cicero, the Nightmother and the old ways, what was interesting to listen to. Gabriella (the Dunmer that stepped a Unicorn with a crooked needle XD) even offered a sidequest like the Shadowscales in Oblivion did.

I did the same thing (and I love Gabriella, I think she's the most interesting character of the Brotherhood) but... I don't know. xD

Well, in my case it wouldn't even be conservative... I played Skyrim before Oblivion. xD Maybe that's also why I like both Dark Brotherhoods so much. It was funny to walk in the shoes of a complete new member who didn't know anything about the guild but what Astrid told you. For a long time I didn't even know the 'Black Hand' was not just another word for the entire Brotherhood and what the Tenets were about. And, as the knowledge of my Listener-Character developed over the years she listens, mine developed with reading Wiki pages and playing Oblivion.

Although I still prefer Cicero over her, I do miss Astrid.
This is a pretty cool concept, though.
And I can honestly see some potential for Astrid returning as a Spectral Assassin out of a chance for redemption more than honor.
However, I hope Lucien can be brought back, as well; and perhaps a bit more bad-ass than even in Skyrim.
After all, he only had that iron dagger. xP

You're right. There would be a chance for Astrid to be send back for redemption. I think she would willingly take it, as, after all, she still did all she did to save and protect her family.
Whenever Lucien says 'One day you will serve the Dread Dather as I do now' I can not help but imagine my character as Spectral Assassin. XD However, I do not think that Bethesda will give you the chance to create your own Spectral Assassin in the next game. :/ Would be funny, though.

As far as I know there is a mod that brings her back into the Game, so one can keep her as a follower.

Yes, there is at least one that includes Astrid and Vex as followers. And one that I personally think is more interesting. The story goes somewhat like this: The burnt corpse of Astrid is send back by the Nightmother (or Sithis?) to support the Listener and redeem herself. But I have not yet got one of them, so I can't really tell anything specific. :/
