This had been sitting undone for a loooonnnggg time.

1: “Then, the dragon blew out hot fire and smoke right at me!”
Fire loved listening to his moms stories. Even though some may be more true than others! His favorite stories was when she would tell him about the adventures she and her friends would go on. And the many stories about how they saved equestria. The way they used to all travel to all different parts of equestria to even a little bit out of it excited him. Only a few years old and he wanted to go out and explore the world. To see and go on adventures like his mom did. Rainbow would say it’s a dangerous world but it’s beautiful if you look past the grey spots. He wanted to see all the wonders and his interest was peaked even more when he decided to go to the everfree forest alone. The animals, plants, and weather amazed him that was until rainbow saved him just in time from a Timberwolf. Rainbow loved his curiosity of the world and thought it was cute. She even encouraged it. (Hence the everfree ). That all changed until media got a hold that she had a kid that could be the next best flyer. After all, she is the best and her family should be the same.

2: “Third place? I thought this weeks training session actually did something for you.”
When the media started pestering Rainbows son about flying She knew she had to get him out there to become the next best wonderbolt. It’s excited her to know that maybe her family was going to have amazing flyers down the generations! However, that changed when Fire, well, was actually not that great . He couldn’t do tricks really well and speed, I mean, he was fast, but never fast enough. He would constantly get the lowest place. On rare occasions would he get a third place. Rainbow HATED this. Her son was turning out to be a bad flyer for wonderbolt material. How would that affect her name! Her reputation!

3: Rainbow trained him as if there was no tomorrow. Pushing him harder and harder until his wings felt like they would snap off. She didn’t want a loser. She wanted her son to be a winner. No matter what it took. Fire Bolt always did as his mother told him. But deep down, he hated training, with his whole heart, he hated being pushed all the time and being in pain because his wings never got a break. Fire Bolt would often finish training, go to his room, fall to the floor and shake with pain. Always hiding it when his mom and dad came around. Still, he so badly wanted to spend time with his father and stop training. Zephyr never saw how bad of a state his son was in. Until two accidents that butted up head to head.

4: Theres a reason he’s slow. He’s not SUPER slow. In fact, he does have good speed. He just could never beat the other flyers. And it’s all because of his wings. In Dusk Verse. There are wing variations. What Fire has are called Glider Wings (or Owl wings). These wings make him slower and unable to do obstacles really well. The one thing he is incredibly good at is flying quite. Rainbow Dash on the other hand has what a lot of wonderbolt/trainers have. Flight Wings (falcon or any fast flying bird wing type ). Her wings make her incredibly fast, able to do fast turns, and obstacles. Each wing has there down side, she can’t be very quite and is unable to fly through storms well while Fires wings allows him to be quite and fly through bad weather well without taking breaks.

A lot of people see Rainbows dashes mom to be this way. Tough and pushy. I didn’t want to do what everyone does but it fits her characters SO incredibly well.

So yeah, this is basically we’re his bullying comes from. He hurts so he tries to push it on others. Thankfully it changes after his accident with Dusk and then the race that destroyed him.
