After Shida was put under the three shaman's trance, he found himself in the middle of a battle in the sky. Spirits of his ancestors were fighting in the storm clouds. Each roar was a gust of tornadic wind and every roar a crash of thunder and lightning. All seemed to be arguing but Shida found the words to be drowned out in the bellowing storm war.

It was then he found his father and ran to him, avoiding the blows of the Kings and Queens of the past. Once he collided into Kovu he screamed for his ancestors to STOP!

Every King, Queen, guard, rogue, and huntress stopped and looked at the young cub. They all could sense he was not a spirit and gathered round to investigate. Kovu consoled his son followed by Simba. Shida begged his relatives to stop fighting, or else their monsoon will drown everyone at Pride Rock and more.

The spirits all regarded each other but seem conflicted due to their past history. Kovu was the first to stand up agree to aid his son and use the flood against the White King. Even though everyone came from different backgrounds, the Pride Lands meant a great deal to them all. Slowly they all started to side with the strange little cub who wound up on the other side of the circle of life.
