All the world is a story. Every life a tale. The moment an eternity.

This is true of the lowliest organism crawling beneath the earth to the most complex deities dancing amid the midnight stars.

Among these is the crow of which this is no less true.

Each night as the forever light falls to the black…the night feathers gather. They come from worlds away to bear witness to the end of the day…and to welcome the night.

They come…for her.

The night gives birth as its caress melts and peels away one truth only to reveal another. Neither less true than the truth before.

Where once there was a crow…Now there is a girl.

A blank slate. An empty vessel. Not something of here. Not something of there.

But something in between.

With newborn eyes her gaze devours the world around her. The terror and pain of her change a memory already long forgotten. Each night she is born. A dream given form. Feathers and flesh. A piece of night fallen to earth.

And each morning she dies.

Where once there was a girl…now is a crow.
The day begins anew.
The night left to dreams.
And nothing remains but the silence of wings.
